SIRAX SI 815
The SIRAX SI 815 signal isolator provides for electrical isolation of the 4-20 mA measuring/supply circuit of a 2-wire measuring transducer. It fulfills two functions at the same time. It provides for electrical isolation and forwards the supply component of the signal, i.e. auxiliary power supply, to the 2-wire transducer, without feeding power to the circuit itself. The signal isolator thus has no auxiliary power supply terminal. Certain variations of the SIRAX SI 815 are FSK compatible. They are used with interactive «intelligent» 2-wire measuring transducers with FSK technology and HART or company specific protocols. Variants with explosion protection type [EEx ia] IIC «intrinsic safety» with intrinsically safe output signal supplement this series of instruments. They can be used together with intrinsically safe 2-wire measuring transducers which have been installed within explosive atmospheres. The signal isolator is supplied with two isolation and transmission channels. The SIRAX SI 815 fulfills all important requirements and regulations concerning electromagnetic compatibility and safe isolation (IEC 1010 and EN 61 010). It has been developed, manufactured and tested in accordance with ISO 9001. Recognition of QA production in accordance with guideline 94/9/EG has also been awarded.
