The EURAX V 604 universal measuring transducer converts the measured quantity - a direct current, a direct voltage or a signal from a thermocouple, a resistance thermometer, a remote sensor or a potentiometer - into an analog, proportional output quantity. The analog output quantity, which can be realized in the form of a load-independent current or load-independent voltage signal, can be used for display, recording and/or continuous control. Selection can be made from a wide variety of measuring ranges - including bipolar and split ranges. The measured quantity and the measuring range can be programmed with the help of a PC and the appropriate software. Data specific to the measured quantity, the analog output quantity, response characteristics, the signal flow direction and details concerning sensor breakage monitoring can be programmed as well. Sensor breakage monitoring is active when the EURAX V 604 is used in combination with a thermocouple, a resistance thermometer, a remote sensor or a potentiometer. An explosion protection «intrinsic safety» type [EEx ia] IIC model expands the EURAX V 604 series.
