SINEAX SV 814
The SINEAX SV 814 single or 2-channel isolation switching amplifier is used predominantly for the transmission of binary signals from intrinsically safe control circuits to non intrinsically safe signal circuits. Activation can be triggered with sensors in accordance with DIN 19 234, or by means of a mechanical contact. The signal applied at the input is forwarded to the output in an electrically isolated fashion. The output stage is available as a relay with floating contact, or as a transistor output. Yellow LEDs at the front panel indicate the currently activated relay or transistor output. The line of action for the LEDs and the output can be selected with switches at the front panel. The input circuit can be monitored for cable breakage and short-circuiting. If an error occurs, the relay for the affected channel is released, and the error is signaled by means of the AF error relay and the red LED display. Monitoring can be disabled with a switch (e.g. for mechanical contactors). Relays and LEDs can be tested by activating an additional switch at the front panel. When the switch is activated, all LEDs light up and all relays are pulled up, or the transistors are activated, independent of the input signal. The switching amplifier is supplied in two different housing, depending upon the number of input channels and relay outputs: the SINEAX SV 814-1/2/3 in an S17 housing and the SINEAX SV 814-4/5 in an S23 housing. Both instruments can be mounted to a top-hat rail, or wall mounted.
